Sixty-six direct exhibitors from abroad attended the trade fair on a net exhibition area of 1.585 sqm. Germany, Italy and Turkey had collective exhibits.
AQUA-THERM Prague was officially opened by the undersecretary of state for Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic, Václav Srba, the director of the department of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, Petr Nahodil, president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic, Jaromír Drábek, the president of the Chamber of Commerce of the Capital, Prague, Petr Kužel, and the president of the Association of Entrepreneurs in the Field of Technical Equipment of the Czech Republic, František Holec. The trade fair is being held under the aegis of the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic, the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Czech Republic, the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic and the Chamber of Commerce of the Capital, Prague. The Association of Entrepreneurs in the Field of Technical Equipment of the Czech Republic, the Association of Specialist Gas, Water and Air-conditioning Wholesalers and the Association for Environmental Equipment ensured the expert guarantee.
Gold medals
An expert evaluation committee headed by the director of the Czech Energy Agency, Josef Bubeník, rated the best exhibits at the trade fair. Six exhibits received a gold medal, eight exhibits received a certificate of merit, and three exhibits received a special award. In addition, the Grand Prix of the Association of Specialist Wholesalers 2004 was awarded.

Accompanying programme
Under the expert guarantee of the Central Association of SHK in Germany, the international conference East was held, where representatives of guilds from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and other countries discussed the ethics of relationships between the investor, main contractor and sub-contractors, between small and medium entrepreneurs and multinational construction firms. The conference adopted a strategy and proposals for amendments to EU legislation.
One part of the accompanying programme was the Conference TZB-2004, concerning low-energy construction and energy savings. The international conference Sun 2004 opened up the issue of renewable sources and the use of solar energy.
During this year's trade fair, visitors used the free bus shuttle directly to the area of the exhibition grounds for the very first time.
