Fronius to launch three new inverter power categories
All good things come in threes
Austrian quality leader Fronius has promptly responded to the demands of the market, with additional power categories across three Fronius inverter ranges. The Fronius IG Plus 30 V, Fronius IG TL 4.6 and Fronius IG 50 will be available from January 2011.
Fronius IG Plus 30 V - The little dynamo that optimises yield
The Fronius IG Plus 30 V is the response of Fronius International GmbH to the demand from specific markets for a high-quality 3 kW inverter. The device can be used all over the world with the exception of the USA and Canada. The new power category offers the same benefits as the highly successful Fronius IG Plus product family.
At 95.9%, the Fronius IG Plus has one of the highest maximum efficiency levels of all the HF (high frequency) transformer devices currently available on the market. Fronius IG Plus products are also available in the following power categories: 3.5 kW, 4 kW, 6.5 kW, 8 kW, 10 kW and 12 kW. A wide variety of applications, maximum yield dependability and the highest level of reliability make these devices best in their class.
Fronius IG TL 4.6 - The transformerless device with integrated system monitoring
The single-phase Fronius IG TL 4.6 inverter is a transformerless device that feeds power into the grid with a maximum output of 4.6 kW, as required by the forthcoming German Low Voltage Directive. The device is internationally certified.
The monitoring system, integrated as standard, means devices in the Fronius IG TL range are among the most dependable transformerless inverters on the market in terms of yield. The monitoring system contains a string failure detection system and outputs detailed status codes. The direct alarm contact provides prompt notification in the event of faults, locking in the yield from the PV system for longer.
Fronius IG 50 - The reliable power pack
Like the rest of the IG family, the Fronius IG 50 is powerful, user-friendly and reliable. The device is certified exclusively for the German market, but is available in a number of other countries. The Fronius IG 50 feeds power into the grid with a maximum output of 4.6 kW, as specified in the above-mentioned German Low Voltage Directive.

When working under partial loads, the Fronius MIXTM concept, an optimised master-slave system, activates just one of the two power stage sets, although they both work together when insolation levels are high.
